Actual details:
Self-defense is not just about fighting. It starts before that - like noticing when something feels off, using your voice. It’s understanding space, boundaries, and pressure... and it’s also knowing how to physically protect yourself if you're in danger.
This workshop is for women and teen girls who want practical tools in a supportive, beginner-friendly space. No martial arts experience needed. You do not need to be strong, flexible, athletic, or “tough” to start.
We’ll cover awareness, boundary-setting, body language, verbal skills, and simple physical tools based in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and striking fundamentals.
You’ll practice how to create space, get out of common grabs, use your voice, get back to your feet, and respond if things get close or messy.
This is not a fear-based workshop.
We are not here to tell you the world is terrifying or that it is your job to prevent everything. We are here to give you tools, help you feel more connected to your body, and support you in building confidence through practice.
At CAA, we meet people where they are. You will not be yelled at, shamed, or pushed past your limits to prove a point.
You’ll be coached, supported, and given skills you can actually use.
